Thursday April 15th 1880 I worked very hard today did a large washing and ironing both was very tired and went to bed early. Friday April 16th 1880 I put the clothes away the first thing when I got up and after breakfast baked a couple of cakes while Hatt cleaned up the house. The company from Waterloo came before noon, two young ladies and one of them speaks at the contest tonight. They went to town in the afternoon. In the evening we all went to the contest which was very pleasant. I had a letter from Clara Musselman. Saturday April 17th 1880 The girls started home at eight oclock this morning. Hatt went over to Wins about ten oclock. I helped get the dinner over and went over to Custors and spent the afternoon. I did not do much of anything in the evening was tired and went to bed early.
