Monday May 3rd 1880 We sewed carpet nearly all day. Mrs Charlie Stinson was here part of the day. Archie went home for good. Tuesday May 4th 1880 We got the carpet done by noon and we girls went to town after dinner. Hatt stayed over to Wins till evening. Wednesday May 5th 1880 Mother went to Aunt Marys to spend the day. We girls worked in the carpet rags all day. Win was over most of the day. Frank and Lucy Fletcher were here a few moments and I had a chance to tell them about the surprise party for Hatt Saturday eve. Thursday May 6th 1880 Hatt did the washing this morning and I cleaned up the house. We worked in the rags all the afternoon. It was a warm windy disagreeable day.
