Wednesday May 12th 1880 We got an eary start at the papering and by five oclock it was all done. I helped get the supper over and went to bed. Thursday May 13th 1880 We brought the carpet down and ironed it this forenoon and started to put it down in the afternoon but found a couple of seams had to be changed and we can't finish it till tomorrow. Friday May 14th 1880 We worked all the forenoon sewing the carpet and all the afternoon getting it down. We were all very tired indeed. Saturday May 15th 1880 I did the baking and helped with the dinner and Hatt cleaned up the house. Rob and I went to town in the afternoon and got some things. I got me a new hat. We got the curtains up today. Mr Lightner brought them and the new piano cover over last night.
