Saturday May 29th 1880 We got up early and got the breakfast over and were all ready to go but waited a little while to see if it would rain which it did all day long. We were a disappointed crowd. Win was over a little while in the forenoon.
Sunday May 30th 1880 I helped do up the work in the morning and went to church. I staid at Wins till after dinner and Rob brought the rest of the folks over in the buggy and we all went to the cemetery to the decoration. The exercises were well conducted and the afternoon a very pleasant one indeed. When we came home it was time to get supper and that over. Rob Win and I went to church.
Monday May 31st 1880 I washed in the forenoon and then helped get the dinner over and ironed in the afternoon. I helped get the supper and do up the work, was tired and went to bed early. Had a letter from Lou Reeves.
