Friday July 9th 1880 I got in two hours practice today and helped with quilting what time I had after we had put up some fruit Hattie Kirkwood brought. Mrs Middleton was here again today. Rob and I went down to Uncle Jims after supper and got apples and potatoes. Saturday July 10th 1880 We all three quilted what time we could get from the work and I practiced two hours. Weather intensely warm. John Mc here all night. Sunday July 11th 1880 I helped a little with the work and went to Sunday school and church and in the afternoon Hatt went down to Robinsons and staid till after supper. When we came home found Win and John Whetstone here. We were all on top the house for awhile and I helped Mother do up the work and went to bed early. A very very warm day.
