Wednesday July 21st 1880 I finished the ironing this morning and did some baking and we girls chain stitched all the afternoon with the exception of a few moments I went to the carpet weavers with Aunt Mary. I practiced an hour in the forenoon and another in the evening. Thursday July 22nd 1880 I went for my music lesson this morning and by the time I was through Hatt came over and she and I did some trading and then went up to Wins to spend the day and a grand good visit we had and she came back with us. We worked at chainstitching all day. I practiced an hour in the evening. Friday July 2erd 1880 I washed and ironed both some and did some baking and got most of the dinner. Aunty Walker was here all day and staied all night. I do not feel very well and my eyes hurt me. This is my birthday. A letter from Miss Lewis.
