Saturday July 24th 1880 Barnums show in town today. All the folks went over to see the procession I had the dinner nearly ready when they came home. Aunt Em and family were with them. After an early dinner they all went to the show. We had a good many here for supper and in the evening Rob and I went to the show. A very warm day and the dust terrible. Sunday July 25th 1880 I felt too bad to go to church today. I helped a little with the work and got the dinner Mother and Father went up in the country I slept all the afternoon. Miss Brown came here to board today. Rob and Hatt went to the valley in the afternoon.
