Monday July 26th 1880 I did not feel very well and the weather is very warm I sewed on muslin what time I had I practiced two hours. Rob went to Tama Co Tuesday July 27th 1880 I practiced two hours this morning and sewed all day Mother went to Fletchers to spend the afternoon. Weather very warm Thursday July 29th 1880 I went to town to take my music lesson and going to the post office I got word the friends were coming from Fairfield I brought the word home and went back for my music lesson. The folks Mrs Dunlap Mrs Offit and daughter Anna came We visited with them the rest of the day and they are splendid. I went over to see about the carpet after supper and took May with me.
