Mrs Offet and Miss Brown went for a ride and when they got home at seven oclock Lizzie and I had a nice supper ready I was busy in the evening getting the boys things together ready to pack up tomorrow It rained this evening and is much cooler. Monday August 2nd 1880 I got up very early and got the breakfast for Father and the boys to start down to Uncle Jims for black berries and while Mother got some breakfast for us I got the rest of the carpet rags ready. Mary Donovan came this morning and began work on our calico dresses. I put in my spare time in the morning packing the boys things and doing some baking As soon as they ate their dinner Mother and Hatt went to the depot with Mrs Offet and Anna I did up the dinner work and got the boys started before three oclock When Mother and Hatt got back Mary began work on Hatts black silk she brought home and Mother put up the berries the boys got this morning.
