Tuesday September 21st 1880 I worked all day long and till bed time I did not open the piano today. Mother was over town in the afternoon. We spiced six gallons of grapes, and done a big ironing then there was churning and baking to do besides getting the meals. Weather very pleasant. I had a letter from Hatt. Wednesday September 22nd 1880 I did up my morning work and practiced two hours before helping with the dinner In the afternoon we baked ginger cakes, spiced apples and browned coffee, I went over to Homes a few moments just before supper Oni said when she came from school that Win got home this morning I wrote to Hatt in the evening. Thursday September 23rd 1880 I got an hour to practice this morning and helped get the dinner. As soon as they ate dinner Mother and Onie went to the fair. I did up the dinner dishes
