Saturday September 25th 1880 It rained the whole day. We got the house cleaned up the baking done and dinner ready by noon. I practiced two hours in the afternoon and in the evening worked on my tidy. It rained very hard just at night. Sunday September 26th 1880 It took most the forenoon to get the work done and the dinner ready. Mother went over to see how Aunty was after dinner and I wrote a letter to Lou Reeves and Lizzie Lindley, and had supper nearly ready when Mother got home. Onie and I went to church in the evening with a couple of the boys Rob went away and left us so they took pity on us and invited us to go with them. Father went to Grunnell [Grinnell] yesterday.
