Friday October 15th 1880 It was a splendid morning and Mr Pentzer and I went to the depot for his sister the train was an hour late but we waited and she came. I helped with the dinner when I came home and was busy about the house all the afternoon Mother was in town a little while We had supper ready at five oclock and were already to recieve our friends when they began to arrive at eight oclock The party was a success and I enjoyed it better than I have a party at home for a long time. The weather was very disagreeable in the latter part of the evening. Saturday October 16th 1880 It was a stormy bad day It took us all day to get things righted around after the party. We had a little dancing to home music in the evening and a socialable time generally. We are enjoying Kates visit very much indeed.
