Sunday October 17th 1880 It was late when we got to our work this morning and it took all the forenoon. Hattie and John went to church. Judge Day come this morning and spent the day here. Mr Pentzer and Kate did not come home to dinner We had a grand sing in the afternoon. And the evening was spent in conversation and listening to Kate play. Weather still wintry. Monday October 18th 1880 I was busy about the work all the forenoon and in the afternoon we girls went down to the glass works, some of the boys went with us. Kate and Hatt took supper at Wins I came home and helped with the supper and then Rob and I went over to Wins and we all went up to the ball. Rob and Kate went to dance and the rest of us to look on Weather moderating a little
