Thursday October 28th 1880 I did the work this forenoon and let Hatt finish up Mothers dress After dinner Mr Sherwood and I went up to Coralville to call on Mifs Southworth. Hattie went with us as for as Fletchers. I helped get the supper over when I came home. Friday October 29th 1880 I fixed up Mothers things and helped do the work. Mother and Aunty started to Burlington at two oclock. I practiced two hours in the afternoon. The young folks all went to society in the evening I was busy about the work. Mollie Stevens here. Carney came today. Saturday October 30th 1880 I worked in the kitchen most all day and got the baking done up nicely for tomorrow. The folks all went over to see parade and I tried to do some-thing to relieve Mr Sherwoods very severe head-ache
