Monday November 29th 1880 It took the forenoon to clear up the house and get the dinner. Ella did not come to work this morning. The girls went down town with their brothers in the afternoon. I got them early supper and Rob & Hatt with the boys went to the depot with them. We kept supper waiting for them and John Whetstone. I knit all the evening. Tuesday November 30th 1880 I did a very large washing before noon and Mr Carney took me to the valley in the afternoon. I didnt find Aunt Em at home but she came in a little while I knit all the evening. Wednesday December 1st 1880 Otto is 21 years old today. Aunt Em and I spent the day down to Aunt Libs had a pleasant visit. I knit all the time I had. We got to be rather early.
