Sunday December 5th 1880 It was very cold today there being a sudden change in the night. I helped all the forenoon about the work and wrote a little in the afternoon. Rob and I went to church in the evening. Monday December 6th 1880 Weather still very cold I was busy about the house all the forenoon. Went to town soon as I ate my dinner to get groceries and yarn for mittens I stopped to have a visit with Aunty Walker and was sorry to find her sick. I told Esther to go down as I came home. I knit all the evening. Tuesday December 7th 1880 I did the washing before noon and knit in the afternoon. It snowed some so Lee got the cutter out and him and I went over town after supper to get some things and see how Aunty was and found her much better.
