Wednesday December 8th 1880 An intensely cold day. We were busy about the work till after dinner. Lee took Hattie and Mother over town to spend the afternoon. I knit all my spare time. Thursday December 9th 1880 Weather still cold I was busy about the house most of the day. Just before supper Mr Sherwood and I took a sleigh ride over in town spent a very pleasant hour. I called to see how Aunty was and was glad to find her up again. Friday December 10th 1880 I ironed in the forenoon and washed a fewthings in the afternoon. I had an hor in the afternoon to do some mending After we got supper over Rob & I, Otto and Onie went to society. I was disappointed in it. Weather pleasanter the evening was delightful. Mr Carney came back tonight.
