To Dress Laver The laver must be verry well wash'd in Spring water till it is quite clean of sand, then put it an Iron Pot with Out water, and boil it 6 Hours or till it is verry tender & keep stirring ^[it] all the time, Lest it burn to the bottom of the pot. Then Chop it verry well wich must be Repeated when you dress it for the Table; at wich time put Lemon or orang Juce or Vinegar to it with a little bit of butter; Heat it and serve it to Table - - - - - - - - - - - - - - [underlined] To Dye Yellow [/underlined]] [Fusteak?] beaten and boiled in water till it is of a deep Color - you must Dye paper with a Spunge; till the color becombs deep enough Perl ashes brings a fine Purple Salts of Tarter 1. oz. Water one pint to Recover a bright blue - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Log = wood in fine pwder 1 Penneth Verdegreace Do 1/2. Boil them in a pint of Small Beer till thay are Consumed - put the Lace in when Hot let it Lye a few Minuets then put it bye a few Minutes then put it out before the Fire to Dry and role it Round a Roller the Powder Must be boiled in a pice of gause.
