Cold Cream 1/2 an oz of Spermaceti 1/4 oz White Wax put into an Earthen pot (such a one holds Currant Jelly in) with 1/2 a pint of oil of Sweet Almonds then put the pot into a Sauce pan of Warm Water when the Sp: & Wax are quite melted pour the ingredients into a bason with a pint of Rose Water & whip it up togeather till it becoms a Cream - Such as is not using keep covered [underlined] up with Rose Water[/underlined] [underlined] India Pickle[ /underlined] Take ginger 1 lb put it into a bottle with dry Salt Let it remain till the other ingredients are ready. take garlick 1 lb Salt it for 3 days - then wash off that Salt & Salt it other 3 days, then Wash off the salt put it in the sun to dry - Take long pepper Salt & dry it before the fire a little some mustard seed & Tarmarick bruised verry fine, put all these into an Earthen Jar, and add to it 1 Quart of Distilled Vinegar or enough to fill it three parts full and if it should want any vinegar you may fill it up as you like; Take Cabbage Cowliflower the whit part of Sallery Radishes Scraped french Beans, Salt them 2 Days let them have a boiling in Salt and water, and then dried in the Sun as all the others where dried put them alltogeather in to the Jar
