Soda Cake 247 - 1/2 lb flour, 1/2 lb raisins, 1/2 lb Sugar 1/2 lb butter 1 Teaspoonful of Soda dissolved in a Teacup of milk a little lemon peel and four eggs. beat the butter to a cream - add the other ingredients by degrees, bake it one hour in a pretty quick oven. Candied peel improves it - Te. W. - Midlan Jelly Take the ruedlass when ripe and wash them cover them in the Pan with Spring water boil them to a pulp, pass them thro' a Jelly Bag - Add one pound and a quarter of Sugar to the pint boil it 20 minutes -
