A cure for hooping cough Spirits of Turpentine and rum great quantity to be rubbed on the back Tincture of Rhubarb one ounce of rhubarb cut in thin slices, a quarter of an ounce of snake root cut in small pieces, a drachm of [casdimois?] bruised, put them into a bottle of gin, Shake it up for a few days and it will be ready for use. Camphorated julep Half a drachm of camphor rubbed with a few drops of rectified Spirits of wine or brandy, two drachms of loaf sugar and half a pint of boiling water - N.B. eight or ten drops of ether may be taken with a wine glass full of the above [Gasgansm?] 1 ounce of honey, 2 table spoonfuls of vinegar, 1 do of Tincture of [illegible] to a quarter of a pint of water. -Mr Clark. [Markening Sut?] 1 drachm of lemon caustic to 2 drachms of water & 10 sprigs of sap green added to the above - Preparation for do 1 drachm of Salt of Tasar to 1/2 oz of water Weighing soon
