Efficacious in Croup Put the child in a warm bath when taken out wrap it well in flannel & rub its chest with Sweet Oil To make Camphor Julop quickly Take of Camphor the size of a Bean put it into a Jug with a little powdered sugar & pour upon the Camphor a few drops of Spirits of wine. add 1 pint & half of boiling water. If too strong dilute it little K.W. A test to know Mushrooms Sprinkle a little salt on the under or spongy part if in a short time they turn yellow they are a very poisonous fungus - but if black - they may be considered genuine Mushrooms They should never be eaten without this test, as the best Judges may occassionally be deceived in their appearance - Morning Post 1831 K.W.
