Thursday, May 15th 1879 It was just a splendid morning. Lee, Charlie and mother went to the valley today and did not get home till supper time. We girls got along very well with the work. I finished Charlie's gown and nearly made four fair cuffs. I sewed carpet rags in the evening. Mollie Briggs and the children came up with them tonight. Friday May 16th 1879 Charlie and Mollie went riding this morning. I did some baking and was busy about the house all the forenoon. I went to the depot with Charlie when he went away. Mollie came to town after I went over for medicine for her little boy who is sick. I finished up the cuffs I began yesterday. We all worked at rags in the eve. Saturday May 17th 1879 We worked at the rags till noon and got enough to finish the carpet. Lee took Mollie and the children down to Uncle Jim's this afternoon. I made May a dress but I had to work till eleven oclock. I am most awful tired tonight.
