Wednesday May 28th 1879 Mrs Pryce came over after Kate this morning. We girls were busy about the work all the forenoon. In the afternoon Lee took us over town in the double buggy and down to Lathrops on an errand. We girls did a little trading for ourselves today Mother went to the west farm with Rob for a ride Mr Dickeys father was here for supper. I helped do up the supper work and in the evening wrote a letter to Mr Carney. Thursday May 29th 1879 I did the ironing this forenoon and Hatt and I got the dinner as mother went to the valley to spend the day. She got home just as supper was ready. I put in all the afternoon mending. It looked so much like rain that I would not go over to Mrs [Burns?] to spend the evening. I got away down on the hill and came back. They had not been gone long when it began to rain very hard. Rob got all wet coming home and Hatt stayed with Win all night.
