Friday June 6th 1879 Hatt did the house work this morning and I ironed and put up some curtains. Mother went to town before noon and after dinner she went down to Robinsons. The girls were fussing around and I worked some on my tidy. In the evening we all went to the Junior Contest. I went right to bed as soon as I came home. Saturday June 7th 1879 Hatt and Rob cleaned his room this morning. I baked cake and helped get the dinner. soon after dinner Rob and Cattrell with we three girls went to the valley. We went by the upper road and stopped to see Kate Boye. We called at all the places in the valley ate supper at Aunt Lindas. Had just a delightful afternoon and did not get home till nine oclock. Weather delightful.
