Tuesday June 10th 1879 I put out rather a large washing this morning and washed all the windows in the lower story of the front part of the house. I did the ironing and some baking in the afternoon. At five oclock we got ready to go to the lawn social at Levi Robinsons. Hatt and Louise had gone down to Mrs Lothrops for a visit in the forenoon. We had a splendid time. Went up town after we left there. John came down after Hatt. I was terribly tired tonight. Wednesday June 11th 1879 We girls were all at home. I made a dress for May besides doing other sewing and helping with the work. Mr Cattrell and Louise went away to play croquet. After supper Lee and I went to town in the phaeton to see if Lib would come and help us sew tomorrow she did not think she could. I went to Lothrops to see about getting a pattern. I was entirely discouraged and nearly sick when I got home.
