Thursday June 12th 1879 I sewed the whole day and late in the evening and nearly made Hatt a wrapper and a polinaise. The folks were invited over to Wins to supper. Rob and Louise went to ride afterwards and Hatt came home to help us sew. John was over in the evening. Friday June 13th 1879 We worked hard to get the work done up by noon when Mr. Forneys sisters came from Burlington. In the afternoon mother Rob and I went out west of here to attend to some errands. When we came back Rob and I went on over town. In the evening we all went over to the Aniversary exercises. Some of the Irving boys acted simply mean. There was a prospect of a fearful storm as we came home when the exercises were about half done. Louise went to stay all night with Anna tonight. We are all charmed with the Forney girls.
