Monday June 23rd 1879 I worked all day on my mat. Mother went to town in the afternoon and Ella Rhodes was over to see me awhile. Rob had a letter from Hatt. A very warm day. Tuesday June 24th 1879 I did a large ironing this forenoon. Rob went to town for Miss Musselman just before noon. She had to go back to town for a tea party and it rained so she could not get back. I worked all spare moments on my mat. I had a letter from Charlie tonight. Wednesday June 25th 1879 It was very warm today I washed this forenoon and worked all the afternoon on my mat. Win came over and was here for supper. Clare came back in the evening. I worked awhile in the evening but felt very tired. This is Petes birthday. Where is he? I get on very slow with my mat.
