Wednesday July 23rd 1879 We got things back in the parlor today and took every thing out the sitting room cleaned it and put them back. We girls worked most of the forenoon cleaning the windows we got all the paint of them. Weather cool and pleasanter. I am twenty-eight years old today. Thursday July 24th 1879 I did a large washing this morning and had only just finished it at eleven oclock when Mollie Lucas and her neice came. I helped with the dinner and worked all the afternoon on my blue tidy. I went to town after supper to see about a stove to put out in the summer kitchen. Friday July 25th 1879 I did the ironing this morning and got the dinner as mother was away cleaning out the old tool house we are going to make a summer kitchen out of it. Hatt and Lee was gone to the valley all day. [Leander Conant?] helped the boys work on the road all day. I worked what time I had on my blue tidy. Weather was very pleasant.
