Sunday August 4th 1879 I helped do up the work this morning and went to church. Soon after dinner Hatt went to ride with John and his cousins they all came back here to supper. Mother and Rob were riding in the afternoon and took May with them. I read while they were gone and write to [Corney?] in the evening. Monday August 5th 1879 I cut out some underclothes for myself and sewed all day. It rained most of the day. Tuesday August 6th 1879 I was busy with my sewing. It is still raining. I write a car to Lou [Gonlamp?]. Wednesday August 7th 1879 I sewed in the forenoon and in the afternoon rode over to town. I got some stuff to make lap robes for the buggy. Mother was over town too all the afternoon. I was at Mrs Maxwells and at Wins a little while. I have had the head-ache all day. I made the laprobes in the evening and went to bed early.
