Thursday August 8th 1879 I did a little working this morning and we got the work all done by ten oclock. Grand mother, Aunt Em and children and Mr + Mrs Magill were here all day. When they started after supper Rob and I went to town in the phaeton to invite company for tomorrow and get some things. We called at Mygatts awhile. Weather cooler. Friday August 9th 1879 I did the ironing this morning while mother and Hatt done the other work. Rob went after our company and took them home after supper. There was Mrs Purcell and [Druce?], Liz and Lara and in the afternoon Aunt Mary and [Minais?] came. I was very tired and went to bed early. We got the screens put up today. Saturday August 9th 1879 Mother went to Riverside with Lee for flour. We girls did the work and some sewing [illegible] and Em Weldie were here visiting. John McCallister came to stay all night with Ott. Rob and I took his buggy to go to town and down and see Lizzie Lidley.
