Sunday August 10th 1879 Rob and I and John and Hatt went out to Emma Weldies to visit today. Rob and I stopped at church and in the country. We had a very pleasant visit and came around to Aunt Em to supper. We brought Mollie Stevens home with us. It was nine oclock when we got home. Monday August 11th 1879 We put up ten cans of corn and dried a lot, besides doing an amount of baking. Hatt and Mollie were to town till four oclock when Win came home with them. John McCallister brought Otto home from the valley he was not very well. Tuesday August 12th 1879 Rob and I went to the west farm as soon as we were through breakfast came back fast Robinsons to see if one of the girls would go to Kates with us. We went on to town and got home at eleven oclock. I worked in the corn all afternoon. In the evening I wrote a note to Lou [Vancamp?], Kate Boye and Mrs Burton. I had a card from Lou today. Weather warm with prospect of rain.
