Wednesday August 20th 1879 Hatt went to the picnic today and mother and I did an awful lot of work. We never stopped all day I made plum jelly and put up plums and we done ever so much baking. Pleasant day. Thursday August 21st 1879 We girls hurried to get the work done up and Hatt went to the depot with Rob for the Downey and Liberty girls. Ella and Lib came up from the valley and we had a big day of it. We all walked over to the depot at nine oclock to see them start home. I was very very tired when we got back. Friday August 22nd 1879 I worked around the house some in the morning and put up a half basket of plus that mother had got yesterday. Mother and I were going down to Robinsons to spend the afternoon and Mrs Moore and her children came to spend the afternoon. Miss Home called a little while. In the evening we all went to Pinafore and enjoyed it very much. Weather quite warm again.
