Friday September 26th 1879 I worked all day about the house doing baking and cleaning. I finished just in time to get supper. Lee went to the depot and the folks got home tonight. I did nothing but write a little in the evening. Saturday September 27th 1879 I walked over town the first thing after breakfast and after I came back I washed out some new things of my own and ironed them in the afternoon besides doing some baking weather very warm. Sunday September 28th 1879 I did not feel very well so I did not go to church this morning. As soon as we had dinner Lee took me in the phaeton for a ride. Went up north of town and came back by the cemetery. I called on Mrs Hess at her daughters. Aunty Wlker was here a little while late in the afternoon. I helped get the supper over and read a little in the evening.
