Monday October 6th 1879 I went down town early this morning and got some cotton to chaitstitch and a ruche and some lace. I sewed what spare time I had. Bird and i were over to Mrs Hodgemans in the afternoon. Weather warm and pleasant. Tuesday October 7th 1879 I went up on 6th St to see about getting my [plume?] colored then across to 7th and called on Mrs Huebner and from there to see Miss Lewis. She took me a long buggy ride in the afternoon. The Mrs Gillette's were there to tea. Rob came up before supper and stayed awhile in the evening he will go home tomorrow morning. I do not feel very well. Wednesday October 8th 1879 Miss Lewis was busy at home all the forenoon soon after dinner she and I went over to see Frank Winters. There was a couple of ladies come to tea and some young ladies to spend the evening. I really ought to have gone down on Main St again tonight. Weather warm.
