Sunday October 12th 1879 It was very warm this morning. I wrote a long letter to Hattie. I read all the afternoon it was so rainy we could not go to church in the evening. Monday October 13th 1879 I worked all my spare time on my tidy. I was over to Mrs Allens most of the day and Charlie was there for dinner. I went down town before supper and stayed at the store about an hour and talked with Charlie till time for him to go to supper. I worked a little on my tidy in the evening. Weather still warm. Tuesday October 14th 1879 I worked on my tidy till four oclock in the afternoon when I got it done. I then dressed and I went down to the store. I had only just got there when June came down and said the Fomey girls were there. I went right back they had a lady friend with them and stayed till nine oclock. We did not hear from home today.
