Thursday November 13th 1879 I helped do up the morning work and ironed a little this morning. As soon as I had my dinner I dressed and went to town with Rob. We went up to Lightners and selected a new brussels carpet for the parlor bed room and I took a look at the room he has selected for an office. I was at Wins, Mrs Ogdens and Mrs Grays each awhile. It was nearly night when I got home. I did not do much of any thing in the evening. Friday November 14th 1879 Hatt and mother both went to the valley to spend the day. Hatt did not come back. It kept me busy doing the work. I had supper ready when mother got home. I went to society with Rob in the evening. It was more entertaining then a week ago. Otto had a good oration. I spoke with Mr Berlin after society was out. He is coming over a week from Sunday and bring Mr Mercer with him.
