Saturday November 15th 1879 I cleaned the house all up this morning and the lamps were all dirty too needing attention. As soon as I ate any dinner I began to wash and by five oclock had a washing put up in the garret. I did nothing in the eve. Sunday November 16th 1879 I hurried with the work this morning and got things ready as I could go to church. I did enjoy the service very much. In the afternoon May and I took a walk down to Robinsons. It was time to get supper when I got home. Hatt came home just at dark. I wrote a letter to Charlie in the evening. Monday November 17th 1879 I ironed this forenoon and in the afternoon Hatt and I sewed on the new carpet. It was a rainy gloomy day. We have heard nothing further from Kansas and believe that Ira must still be alive. I wrote to Miss Lewis in the evening.
