Tuesday November 18th 1879 The girls worked all day long to make the carpet and did not get it done till after supper. Mr Frank went to town to board today. Wednesday November 19th 1879 I went to town this morning and when I got home I helped get the dinner and then did a small washing. We had a hog killed this afternoon and Rob and Hatt put down the new carpet in the parlor bedroom. Thursday November 20th 1879 We put the meat all away today, got most of it done before noon and Hatt cleaned up the home nicely. In the afternoon we did some baking and Rob and Hatt went to the four oclock train for Bird and Mrs Hendgeman. We were very glad to see them. John came over in the evening and we all played cards and had a laughing time of it. I was pretty tired tonight. Weather pleasantly [illegible] yesterday.
