Tuesday December 2nd 1879 The girls went over to Wins to spend the day. I did the ironing and helped with the work. I knit some in the afternoon. The girls came home before supper and in the evening we went over to the concert at the Universalist church parlors. Wednesday December 3rd 1879 I helped with the work all the forenoon as Hatt might work on her sacque. In the afternoon I did some mending and knit on my mittens. Win was home and Mollie went home. Thursday December 4th 1879 I helped with the work all the forenoon and intended to go to town as soon as I ate my dinner but it was raining then so I did not go till three oclock. I walked constantly till dark trying to find a woman who would help me sew. I came back to Wins and stayed all night and was too tired to go to prayer meeting. I began a pair of mittens for Otto.
