Sunday December 14th 1879 I helped do up the work this forenoon and went to church. Was down to Mrs Middletons a few moments before I came home. In the afternoon I wrote to Lov Rienes and in the evening to Lizzie Lindley. Win was over in the afternoon. Weather pleasant during the day but turned very cold at night. Monday December 15th 1879 I did a large washing this morning and in the afternoon some mending. Hatt went over town and did not get home till late bed time. Lou Walker was here to stay all night. Tuesday December 16th 1879 I ironed part of the things this forenoon. Father and Mother went to the valley. Hatt went to town soon after dinner and Rob went out to Halsons where she was to supper and they did not get home till ten oclock. I had supper ready when mother got home. The day was rather fine but the evening very cold indeed.
