Wednesday February 26th 1890 We finished the ironing before noon and done the other work. The girls were over to stay all the afternoon. We had a good visit. I knit in the afternoon and read in the evening. weather more pleasant than yesterday. Thursday February 27th 1890 It was snowy day. Lee went to Des Moines last night to witness the inauguration of Gov Boise. I was busy about the work most of the day. Winnie did not go to school today. I wrote a letter to Jim Mason in the evening. Friday February 28th 1890 It was bitter cold day. We were busy with the work all the forenoon. Winnie did not go to town till afternoon. I knit some and read a little to pass away time. Lee got back early this morning from Des Moines. Saturday Match 1st 1890 Weather still cold. We done lots of work in the forenoon and among other things the washing and in the afternoon Will took Mother and I to town in the big sled. We were at Hatties awhile. We got supper over when we got home and I read in the evening. Sunday March 2d 1890 I was busy about the work all the forenoon and soon after dinner Will and I went down to Robinsons to see Lizzie Lindley. We came back about five oclock and I helped got the supper over and read in the evening. Monday March 3d 1890 We got the ironing done before noon and right away after dinner I cleaned up the parlors and Mother swept her room. Hatt sent for her to come over there and Will helped me clean up the silver. Mother did not come home till after supper and Ott & Fanny brought her home. They spent the evening. Fanny is going home tomorrow for a visit. Tuesday March 4th 1890 Mr Steger went home this morning. Mother went to Uncle Jims before noon and hurried through with the work
