Thursday April 10th 1890 It was a fine day. We did a large washing and I ironed some of the things before dinner. Will took an early dinner and a load of sand and went to the west farm to bring back a load of the old stuff left from the building. I did not feel very well. I had a pain in my back. The girls were over from Marys and Mother was over over there. I went to bed early. I got the work done as early as possible and Mary and the girls came along by ten oclock to go over to Hatties with me to spend the day. We had a splendid visit I came home before it was late because I let Winnie go home for a visit. Will was at home all afternoon helping take the pump out of the well and fix it. The work kept me busy till nearly bed time as I had bread to make. Saturday April 12th 1890 We were busy all forenoon with the baking and sweeping Mother does not feel well and the day was oppresively hot. Will went to the farm with a load of sand and brought back a big load of stuff for kindling. I got his dinner and we went out to see how Fanny was a little while. I read in the evening and he went down town. Sunday April 13th 1890 We got the work done up in very good season this morning. I rode over to see how Fanny was she was being dressed to go down stairs. Winnie came back at noon. There was a hard shower in the afternoon. Will went to town. I read and wrote some. Monday April 14th 1890 We washed this forenoon besides doing the other work. Went to town with Will in the afternoon and attended to lot of errands. I was at Hatts awhile but did not find her at home. Mother did the ironing while I was gone. [the following text is written vertically in the right margin of the above entry] Will and I went to the Theater in the evening. Tuesday April 15th 1890 I was busy about the work all forenoon. Mother went over town before dinner to help Hattie make her soap. I worked
