Sunday April 27th 1890 I was busy about the house work all the forenoon. Mother and Winnie both went to church. Will and I drove out to the west farm after dinner. When we got back the folks were all here from town. Mother helped me with supper the boys had company. Will, Mary and the girls came over and we all went to the Methodist church. Monday April 28th 1890 We got the washing done about ten oclock and I had the clothes all rolled up ready to iron before noon and by five oclock every thing was mended and put away. The wind blew very strong today. Tuesday April 29th 1890 It was a splendid day. Mother went over town to go down with Fanny to the valley. I was busy about the work all forenoon. I went over to Marys in the afternoon while Will was out fixing the pasture fence. he put the pump in the well out there this morning. It was late when we got the evening work done. [the following text is written vertically in the right margin of the above entry] Mother came home. Wednesday April 30th 1890 I helped with the work this morning and then went over town. I got me a new hat. I went on out to Fannys where I stayed till after dinner. I got two hundred dollars of Ott to pay for improvements on west farm and we had some talk about cleaning the timber in the valley. Fanny brought me home about five oclock and Mother went back with her to stay all night. Thursday May 1st 1890 Mother came home early and we began to work on the soap. We were at it most of the day. We had callers in the afternoon. Mrs [Parvier?] Mrs Downey Mrs Lee and Lou Faltz. It was late when we got supper over and we was tired so went to bed early. Weather very beautiful. Friday May 2nd 1890 We worked all forenoon finishing up the soap. The girls were over for awhile. I sewed a little in the afternoon Mary and I went over to the Methodist church in the
