Monday October 27th 1890 I went over to Hatts to learn how to make [hoods?]. Mother came home to help with the dinner. I got a pretty good start at one. Edith came home with me and went back with Mother. Tuesday October 28th 1890 We churned and washed this forenoon and I worked at the [hoods?] all my spare time. It threatened rain but did not come. Will has been plowing. Wednesday October 29th 1890 I was busy with the work all forenoon while Anna ironed. I worked on the [hoods?] some. Mother came home tonight. Will bought a pony named "Dandy." Thursday October 30th 1890 Mother done some baking and helped with the dinner so I could work all day on the [hoods?] She finished Hatts mat. Will got our apples from Songers. Friday October 31st 1890 Mother helped with the work and I worked on the [hoods?]. I went to town in the afternoon to get some more yarn. Mother went over to stay all night, Willie went to What Cheer. Saturday November 1st 1890 I let Anna do most of the work in the forenoon and I worked on the [hoods?] John & Hatt were here a few minutes. Will got twleve bushels of potatoes and brought home my new black robe this morning. We went to town in the afternoon. I took my work along. John & Hatt went down to Uncle Jims of an errand. Sunday November 2nd 1890 It was a cold windy day. I done the work in the morning and let Anna go to church. Will and I went out to the west farm in the afternoon and stopped at Marys awhile. Mother came home at noon. Ott & Fanny here for a call in the afternoon. Monday [November 3rd] 1890 Lee came home last night. John & Hatt were over for the day. I finished my first half dozen [hoods?] and began on a dozen of another kind. Will is nearly disabled with a lame knee. We had a nice visit today. Brown went home to vote.
