Saturday December 13th 1890 I was busy with the baking all forenoon and went to town soon after dinner to get groceries and see to some other things. I was down to see Mother. Will come after me at four oclock. I helped with the evening work and oiled the kitchen floor after supper. Sunday December 14th 1890 It was a delighful day. I walked to church in the morning and Will came after me. Anna had dinner nearly ready when I got home. Will and I took a ride in the afternoon and stopped at Otts awhile. Mother was there today. I helped get supper and read and wrote in the evening. Monday December 15th 1890 Anna done a large washing this morning and I cleaned up the house. Mother came before noon and said we were invited to Esthers tonight to suprise Aunty for her birthday. We went to down soon after dinner and up to Esthers about four oclock. The surprise was a success and the party very pleasant. We stopped at the M. E. Church a little while and Will came for me soon after we got over to Hatties. It was snowing some tonight. Tuesday December 16th 1890 We got the ironing and other work done this morning. Will sold and delivered the rest of the hogs. They brought $105.-- I went to town with him in the afternoon to get him a fur coat. We came home by way of Marys. I put in all the evening fixing his coat to fit him. I met Mother and she had a splendid letter from Father had written to Lee about the business in Burlington. The snow all disappeared today. Wednesday December 17th 1890 It was a delightful day. I walked out to Fannys to spend the day. Mother came out and we had a splendid visit. Will came for me about four oclock. Thursday December 18th 1890 I was busy about the work all the forenoon and went to town in the afternoon. Mother and I got thing to send to Maud Gilbert for her wedding. I met Fanny on the street and went down to Hattis with her. I did mending all the evening.
