Friday April 24th 1891 I done baking today and got the chickens out is the coops. I have two large broods of them. I practiced some both in the afternoon and evening. I wrote to Mother. The boys got a good sized patch of potatoes planted. Saturday April 25th 1891 I was busy with the work most of the forenoon. One of the boys was doing some work about the place for me and I had to see to that. Will and I went to town in the afternoon. I had many things to see to in town and then Will and I drove out to see Fanny. We found her better. This is Charlies birthday. he is 45 years old. Sunday April 26th 1891 It was a pleasnt day. Agnes went home before noon and did not come back at all. I was busy with the work a greater part of the time. Will and I took a ride in the afternoon out past the field and come back past Woolfs. The girls have been sick most of the week. I was late getting my work done up. Monday April 27th 1891 It was a nice day and we washed and I ironed part of the things. Will and I drove over town after supper. Took the bread out to Otts and got some things in town. Tuesday April 28th 1891 I finished the ironing in the morning and was fixing a place to set hens in an empty corn crib. The work kept me busy a great part of the day. Will is plowing. Wednesday April 29th 1891 I done a lot of sweeping up stairs and then Agnes and I washed out a lot of things before dinner. I wrote to Mother in the afternoon. Will and I went out to Woolfs in the evening and found the girls better but Marty and Will were both sick. Thursday April 30th 1891 I finished the ironing in the morning and was working some with the chickens. I wrote to Lee in the afternoon. I had a letter from him and Mother both today.
