Thursday August 13th 1891 Will began stacking the oats today. We was most of the forenoon getting the dinner. Mother does not feel very well. It began to rain soon after dinner so they men stopped work. I was sewing all my spare time in the afternoon and evening. Friday August 14th 1891 Agnes and I cleaned the garret in the forenoon and worked and done some work in the garden in the afternoon. Ida went to town in the forenoon and Mother in the afternoon. Ida stayed all night I was very tired and over heated tonight. Saturday August 15th 1891 I was the greater part of the forenoon doing the ironing Mother baked bread and got most of the dinner. I done some mending and began to work on [hards?] for Moore in the afternoon. Ida & Nellie came back just about noon. Will was stacking oats and though they worked till nearly dark they did not get done. An intensely hot day. Sunday August 16th 1891 It was a very warm day. Will and I went over to Marys and talked with her all the forenoon. I read a little in the afternoon. The folks were all over from town after supper. Agnes did not come back. Monday August 17th 1891 It was a pleasant morning and we washed. Will got his oats stacked by the middle of the afternoon and was only done when it rained very hard. I was sewing in the afternoon and helped with the work. Tuesday August 18th 1891 I ironed in the forenoon and done some baking. Will took me to town after dinner and come back for Ida to go over to Hatties to a tea party. I drove some errands for myself and ordered groceries I sewed for myself in the afternoon and evening. I have our things about all ready to go.
