and about ten oclock Mr Smith came to show us some town property we were gone till noon and Ida's Aunt went with us. The Will and I were out again in the afternoon. We spent the evening pleasantly with the folks at the house. Thursday November 26th 1891 Soon after breakfast Will and I went over to see Mrs Miller about buying her place. and then went on to where his son was working and went with his to Mr Smiths office to finish the bargain. I bought the place for $1,900 and are to get possession the 1st of March. We got back to Charlies just at noon. I feel well satisfied with the bargain and think I would be willing to live in Dwight. We spent the afternoon (after eating Ida's good thanksgiving dinner) till four oclock in visiting with the folks and then took the Denver Express for Delavan where we took the Duncan family by surprise. we spent the evening pleasantly enough. Fruday November 27th 1891 It was a rainy morning. Will and I called on Clara Foster. I then went over to Venes and Will came for dinner. We called on his sister Joe and he came on down town. I after that stopped to see how Mrs Baker was it was dark when I got down to Duncans. I spent the evening there and Will went up town awhile. Saturday November 28th 1891 We got started from Duncans in time to start from Delavan on the nine oclock train. our ride over to Davenport was not tedious at all and we got out of there about five oclock and in the city at half past seven. We stopped at Hatts awhile before coming on home. Had a little visit after we came home. Agnes went home and our new girl came today. weather very cold. Sunday November 29th 1891 I was at home all day. Father and Mother were invited over to Hatties to dinner. The Moores were there. Will went over to Marys and she came home with him to stay till after dinner. A good winter day.
