Saturday February 20th 1892 We were busy with the work all forenoon and sewed carpet rags all afternoon. I worked on my lace in the evening. It was a cloudy day. Forty seven years since Father & Mother were married. Sunday February 21st 1892 I got the work done to read a little in the forenoon. Lee came home for dinner but went back to Burlington at night. The folks were all over in the afternoon and Mr McCallister of Davenport called. Just before supper. Henry Pomeroy called. I spent the evening reading and writing. It was dark misty day. Monday February 22nd 1892 It was a coudy ugly day. We all worked in the carpet rags. Edith was over in the afternoon and helped sew. I was busy in the evening ripping up my old green dress. Tuesday February 23rd 1892 I got our rags all out this morning and weighed them and found we had plenty. Will took them over to Mr Callings. I rode to town in the afternoon, made arrangements about the weaving. called at Mrs Mygotts on a distant relative of Mother who is stopping there. I went to the office to see Ott and gave him the papers I received from Dwight. I was at Hatties a few minutes before Will called for me. I worked on my old dress all evening. Wednesday February 24th 1891 It is still dark and coudy. I was busy with the house work most of the forenoon and in the afternoon Mother and I knotted a comfort made out of my old green silk dress. I did some mending in the evening. Thursday February 25th 1892 It was a pleasant day. We got the washing nearly done by ten oclock and Mother went to town. I ironed some in the aftetrnoon. Josie went to town. I did a little mending in the evening.
